A home begins as a reading.

Before a flat is worth seeing, it is worth observing. The road at eight in the morning, the tank on the roof, the lift on a Monday. These notes are what we write down while doing that.

This is not a blog and it is not search-engine filler. It is the record of what we keep learning about renting in Bengaluru, published because a tenant who knows these things negotiates better than one who does not.
