The home
A villa in Phase 1 of Palm Meadows, where the trees have had thirty years to grow in. The 3,180 sq ft home sits over two floors, with marble floors through the ground level and a garden running along three sides. Much of it remains planted rather than paved.
The ground floor opens from an entrance lobby into the living and dining rooms along the garden side, with a pooja room, a powder room, a modular kitchen with a built-in granite breakfast table, the utility area, the maid's room and a sit-out. Two bedrooms are on this floor: a guest bedroom with an attached bathroom, and a fifth room built to be a study, an office or a spare bedroom.
Upstairs are three bedrooms, the master and two more, each with built-in wardrobes and its own attached bathroom. The master opens onto a large balcony, and the landing between the rooms is big enough to use as a small family room.
Air conditioners are fitted in the living room and four bedrooms. A closed garage takes one car, and a second fits on the driveway.
Why we would show it
- The fifth bedroom was built as a study and still closes back into one. Five bedrooms, or four and a room to work in, without calling a carpenter.
- The maid's room has its own door to the outside, which is rare in Palm Meadows and is the reason two of the families we know here chose their villa.
